Meet Suzanne Regaldo

Suzanne makes it happen in our Fresno office at 1616 W. Shaw meeting, greeting and scheduling patients. She loves helping answer questions and talking with all of our patients and parents. Suzanne enjoys shopping and doing her rock star and 3-D nails. Ask to see them when you come in, Vegas baby! She loves Spanish rock, hip-hop and Unique Radio our in-house music.

Suzanne has two lovely daughters, Nelly and Mia. They keep her so busy along with Unique Ortho, she doesn't have a lot of spare time for movies and television. She has been in the orthodontics field for 7 years. Suzanne has been with our team for 4 years.

Meet Chuck Geiger

Chuck is our Internal Marketing Coordinator. He works with the website, social media, our in-house music station, our first newsletter coming in May, Unique TV coming soon and everything digital. He has been with Unique for only a few weeks. He has 35 years in broadcast media programming, on air, marketing and promotions. Chuck loves the team atmosphere and fun at Unique. He travels between Fresno and Clovis working on marketing projects for the practice.

Chuck has been married to Janis for 35 years and they have two adult children, Melissa 30 and Daniel 23. Two great grandchildren, Patrick and Maddy. They have another one on the way. Chuck has 3 Pomeranians and 3 birds, an Amazon Parrot, Buddy and two cockatiels, Max and Jerry. Chuck enjoys model trains and watching real trains. Patrick and him are building a small railroad layout. His favorite movies include, The Hangover, Anchorman and too many to list. He loves working on his media blogs and spending time with the family.

Meet Adriana Sanders

Adriana is one of the hardest working human beings on the planet. She is our Patient Coordinator and travels between our Clovis office and Fresno office. She works with both of our financial coordinators Mary and Michele to help patients with their financial questions as well as answering a myriad of questions about Unique Orthodontics and our practice and procedures. She has been in orthodontics for 15 years and graced us with her lovely presence for 2 years.

She has 4 awesome children, 2 boys and 2 girls. Adriana enjoys being part of her children's sports. She loves gardening and taking long trips. She's an OC girl, graduating from Santa Ana High School. Her favorite TV shows include American Idol and any and all cooking and craft shows. She is new to Facebook. Legends of The Fall and The Notebook are her favorite movies. Adriana loves working at Unique and meeting amazing people everyday.

Demi Lovato leaving hit Disney show

The news broke yesterday that Disney star Demi Lovato would be leaving the hit Disney Channel Original Series “Sonny With A Chance,” which she starred in. The show will continue to air, but the name will be changed to “So Random,” and it will be turned into more of a sketch comedy.

Event Description:
Since 1925, Dia del Nino, or the Day of the Child, has grown as an annual celebration thorughout Mexico. This day recognizes children, pay homage to their importance in society, and endorses their well being. The offical Dia del Nino in Mexico is celebrated on April 30th.

This event is put on by Univision - Channel 21 at the Fresno Chaffee Zoo, itis said to be one of the highest attendance days of the year for the zoo. There will be different booths throughout the park as well as live entertainment beginning at 1pm and goes thorugh 6pm. Live entertainment ranges from Mariachi bands to a variety of groups. Entrance to the park is general admission (Adults $7.00 and children $3.50 (2-11yrs).

Valley law enforcement agencies and the California Highway Patrol are planning a second campaign to bust distracted drivers April 18-19.

During the last enforcement period earlier this month, more than 1,000 Central Valley motorists were cited for talking on a cell phone or texting while driving. The penalty is a $159 ticket. (Read article: CHP: 1,003 ticketed for driving, cell phone use)

If you are stopped for a violation, you will be cited," said Chief Jim Abrames of the CHP Central Division, in a statement.

The enforcement effort is part of April's "Distracted Drivers Awareness Month," and from the Grapevine in Kern County to Modesto, enforcement agencies have issued more than 1,700 citations this month.

The initial fine of $159 for a "driving while distracted" citation can reach up to $279 for subsequent offenses.

Meet Tro Karoglanian

Tro is known in many circles with a mysterious CIA code name: THE STERILIZER. Tro is our Clovis office equipment sterilizer. He's been with UNIQUE ORTHODONTICS here in Clovis for a year. He is into soccer and plays guitar. 2 dogs and a cat keep him busy in the way only crazy pets can.

His favorite TV show is the crazy It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia. Ask Dr. Bayrakdarian who went to school in Philadelphia, it snows there too. Tro likes a lot of different music: Rock, progressive metal and trance. Trance is a form of electronic music that started in the 90's. He's a big Facebook fan and loves to talk to his friends and family on it. We are a cleaner Clovis due in part to Tro and we thank him.

Meet Michelle Seavy

Michelle is our Clovis financial coordinator and helps our Clovis office patients with all the red tape and financial situations. She has been with us for 2 1/2 years and been in orthodontics the same length. She loves her job and all the great people she gets to meet. We agree with Michelle that Unique Orthodontics and Dr. Bayrakdarian have the greatest patients in the world. She has been in the medical financial field for 10 years.  Michelle loves to camp. fish and being out on the lake. She loves NASCAR and Go Dale Jr.

Michelle loves her co-workers and says working at Unique is like one big family. Does that mean we have to have Thanksgiving at her house this year? She went to Clovis High School and uses her Blackberry to stay in touch with friends and family. She is Facebook girl too. Her favorite music includes Country and Hip-Hop. Loves Jersey Shore and American Idol on TV and watching them with Jeff her boyfriend. Jeff and Michelle was found written in a tree in a park somewhere in Clovis. She has 3 children, 2 wonderful girls and one great son.

Meet Cathy Flores

Cathy runs our Clovis front office, taking appointments and greet patients. Elmira who you've met earlier travels between both offices, While Suzanne runs the front desk operations in Fresno. Cathy has been with us 3 years when Dr. Bayrakdarian opened our Clovis location. She has been in orthodontics for 8 years and loves her job. She always has the biggest smile on her face greeting patients and running the front office. She enjoys riding her Harley Davidson, music and dancing...Not all together or in any order.

She romps with her Terrier Hulk and loves Housewife's of Orange County on TV. Her favorite music is old school like Mega 97.9. One of her favorite movies is Coyote Ugly...Hum mm we've never seen her dance on the reception counter. Stays in touch digitally with her Droid and Facebook. She went to Roosevelt High School in Fresno. She has been married to Nick for 29 years and she is blessed with 3 sons, a daughter and 4 grandchildren.

Meet Julie

With the world's biggest smile and the ability to leap over exam chairs in a hurry, Julie makes it happen as a Unique Orthodontics Registered Dental Assistant. She calms the nerves of younger, new patients are not experienced in dealing with the world of orthodontia. It can be pretty intimating to have appliances on your teeth. Julie takes the time in her one on one style to talk to our patients about what she's doing and the process involved.

She is happily married with two wonderful boys and enjoys watching her husband race. Her dog's name is Sparky and she is a 1997 Reedley College grad. She has graced us with her lovely presence for 3 years.

Meet Leticia Zamarripa

Leticia is the heart and soul of the practice, she is a leader, cheerleader, motivator with a strong orthodontic business sense. In her role of Office Manager, she oversees the operation of Unique Orthodontics Fresno and Clovis. She is a bastion of energy and commitment. When she's not answering our hundred questions an hour, she loves spending quality time with her grandchildren and playing with her dogs. Her grandchildren are her life and they make her so happy, she doesn't need a hobby.

Lettie has three great children, two sons and a daughter and four grandchildren. Three dogs names Buddi, Nena and Monster. She graduated from Riverdale High School. Go Cowboys! Riverdale was rated #2 out of 97 schools, we wonder were Lettie ranked? At the top probably.

Her favorite television shows include: Modern Family and Rasing Hope. She has been in our field for 16 years and with Unique for 5 years. Lettie has helped build our practice with love, trust and the highest quality of patient care. She joins us in our appreciation of Dr. Bayrakdarian and his sincerity and love for the practice of orthodontics.

Meet Jazmin Padilla

Jazmin is an all around sweetheart and takes care of a lot of the office administrative needs, especially helping to keep our office going when they are closed for patients. She enjoys tennis, reading and working out. Jazi coaches tennis at Rio Vista Middle School. When she played at Central High School in Fresno she ranked amongst the highest players in the country. She loves alternative rock music and is a Mac fan. She has a younger brother and our Business Manager Lettie is her aunt.

Jazi loves her dogs Daisy, Lucy and Sweetpea. She is a graduate of Central High in 2009 and will graduate from Fresno State in 2013. Her favorite TV shows include The Office and more. She began with us last Summer.

Leave it to a radio guy to make going to the dentist a little less painful and a whole lot more like, well, radio. Fresno-based radio vet Chuck Geiger, who is the managing editor of Full Throttle Country, was recently named Marketing Coordinator of Unique Orthodontics, a forward-thinking local company with two locations that is using Geiger's years of radio experience to enhance its brand. Geiger took the ball and ran with it, and the results of his efforts is the dental firm's in-house radio station, "Unique Radio," which will be launched on Earth Day, April 22. The Unique Ortho Hit Music Channel will play a mix of current and recurrent Top 40 hits by Britney,Rhianna, Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars, etc., with imaging provided by the dulcet tones of KBLQ/Logan, UT PD Paul Wilson. Geiger describes the station's target demo as "11- to 15-year-old kids getting braces."

 

Stay tuned as Unique launches a companion video channel and digital and smartphone delivery platforms. When asked about the reach of his new station, Geiger tells RAMP, "We'll have a cume of six chairs and 25 in the office."
